Does Religion have to have "spooky" language like the great comedian George Carlin noted?
In most conversations involving religion people ultimately get to a point where they say some pretty scary or irrational things. Such as a virgin gave birth or a man came back from the dead or even that they have talked to a God. Is there some kind of mass hypnosis going on with religion or what makes people say things you would not accept in any situation?
Does sound a little like "Every day is Halloween in our little town!"

I’m usually allergic to such irrational beliefs. But seriously–people like that can be scary.

George Carlin was being honest - from an objective viewpoint, religion DOES rely on "spooky" language to intimidate the gullible

There’s faith, deep faith, unnerving faith, and fanatical faith. All in all they have there place and time, but I would be careful with those that go past the first one:)

1. Research parthenogenesis (parthenos=virgin, genesis=birth)
2. Research the Lazarus phenomenon
3. Doesn’t the saying go, it’s okay to talk to God, it’s not okay when God talks to you?
