but yeah, look up emilie autumn some time
my fave by her is ophiliac a play on ophelia from hamlet
Emilie Autumn is a very beautiful singer, some of the songs are like Victorian sounding, she does play violin very well and likes to have that old feel but yes it is more like an evanescence feel and some kind make you think of fiona apple ( another singer you should look up, very famous in the 90’s)

Try http://pandora.com/ if you want a better way to get familiar with the unfamiliar. You just enter songs or Artists you like and it starts streaming similar music. It’s awesome!
Also, If you like Evanescence, try "Nightwish" or "Lacuna Coil". The First one especially will make you wonder what you ever saw in Evanescence, who sorta ripped them off but poppier and over-produced. Check em out!
